Overview
This is a 100% allocation onsite assignment requiring work from the Toronto office five days per week. The consultant will support development and enhancement of web-based systems, including data pipelines, API integrations, Azure Cloud applications, databases, and accessible user interfaces.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines through extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
• Translate technical system specifications into working, tested applications.
• Develop programming specifications; write or generate code; compile data-driven programs; maintain applications; and conduct unit testing.
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems arising during software package use and operation.
• Provide technical assistance for implementation, conversion, and migration activities.
• Design, code, test, debug, document, deploy, and troubleshoot applications.
• Develop and integrate front-end and back-end application components and APIs.
• Design and implement REST API services and integrate front-end UI with APIs.
• Design and implement continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Analyze requirements and develop functional requirements for reports and web-system enhancements.
• Create technical specifications and development documentation.
Mandatory Qualifications
• Demonstrated extensive experience designing, developing, testing, and debugging system enhancements using C#, Web API, Blazor WASM, Crystal Reports, ASP.NET, LINQ, WCF, .NET Core, .NET Entity Framework, Redis Cache, xUnit, and Moq.
• Strong Azure API technology experience, including Azure AD security, app registrations and policies, CORS configuration, Thunder Client, Swagger, Postman, API coding, and testing.
• ASP.NET development using C#, Web Forms, JavaScript for multi-browser support, and CSS with WCAG AA compliance.
• Experience with Azure Cloud services.
• Experience with Azure Multi-Factor Authentication, SSO, and Entra ID (OAuth).
• Experience designing and modelling relational databases for web-based applications, including PL/SQL Developer, TOAD, Oracle, and SQL Server.
• Experience developing Azure Functions, App Service, and Container Instances.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, OAuth, Key Vault, and Managed Identities.
• Experience building and delivering Azure Cloud applications using Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with SDLC processes, Agile delivery, user stories, estimates, DevOps/TFS, and unit testing.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience programming Internet-ready applications and using rapid application development methodologies.
• Knowledge of information management principles, policies, concepts, and practices.
• Experience with middleware, gateways, installation scripts, and post-implementation support.
• Experience conducting design walkthroughs and providing user and system documentation.
• Knowledge of AODA requirements and related accessibility standards.
• High-level knowledge of Angular, AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end interfaces.
• Experience designing reusable, testable AngularJS modules and components.
• Experience designing web-page layouts, user interactions, server-side and client-side content, and mobile-platform functionality.
• Knowledge of UX/UI.
• Experience with Java WebLogic, Tomcat, EJB, Servlets, REST and SOAP web services.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Agile/Scrum.
• Public-sector experience, particularly with education systems.
