Overview
Ontario’s regulatory ministries are developing the Common Compliance Management Platform (CCMP), a standardized, modular technology solution for regulatory compliance services. The Senior UX Designer will lead end-to-end UX design, user research, stakeholder engagement, usability testing, and design validation, producing user-centered and accessible digital experiences for OPS staff, businesses, and citizens.
Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end UX design activities across discovery, research, design, prototyping, testing, beta validation, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Plan and conduct user research and stakeholder engagement activities, including interviews, workshops, surveys, and usability testing.
• Translate findings into personas, customer journey maps, service blueprints, user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Design intuitive, accessible, user-centered digital experiences using UX/UI best practices, human-centered design, AODA/WCAG requirements, and the Ontario Design System.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional Agile teams to align user needs with business objectives.
• Develop UX strategies and provide advisory services on digital experience, service design, usability, and performance measurement.
Mandatory Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience leading human-centered UX research and design for complex digital products and services.
• Experience planning and conducting interviews, workshops, surveys, usability testing, and stakeholder consultations, and translating findings into actionable design recommendations.
• Experience leading end-to-end UX design from discovery through delivery, including personas, user journeys, service blueprints, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.
• Experience aligning work to the Ontario Design System and accessibility requirements.
• Experience planning and conducting user research and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Experience collaborating with product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional Agile teams.
• Experience designing intuitive, accessible, user-centered digital experiences using UX/UI best practices and human-centered design principles.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Lean, or DevOps environments.
• Experience with Figma.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Experience with public sector, government, or large-scale digital transformation initiatives, including digital service standards.
