Overview
Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs. Interacts with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements. Prepares and advises on business analysis policies, processes, best practices, and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct business analysis to assess clients' business problems/opportunities and document business requirements so that I&IT solutions can be determined.
- Apply re-engineering concepts to promote business improvements through alternative and cost-effective service delivery approaches.
- Lead and conduct business analysis at varying levels of detail appropriate to the project and project phases, aligning with OPS Unified Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture and Gating Process, and OPS Standard Systems Development Methodologies.
- Develop strategies, prepare business cases and cost-benefit analyses, and conduct feasibility studies for business I&IT initiatives.
- Develop sound requirements-gathering processes, including JAD sessions, interviews, mockups, and other methods.
- Conduct business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, use case surveys, business rules definition, and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects.
- Monitor progress, resolve problems, and report regularly to I&IT management and stakeholders.
- Develop performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation and conduct follow-up.
- Lead and facilitate workshops to elicit, review, document, and confirm business requirements, business process reengineering, business models, business rules, and user interface design.
- Create user stories; support creation of UX, functional, and technical designs; and ensure business analysis tasks align with iterative development cycles.
- Develop performance measures for business analysis evaluation and conduct follow-up assessments to ensure compliance with client cluster and corporate I&IT strategies, policies, and priorities.
- Manage change processes, including defining change scope, impact analysis, and developing training and communication strategies for end-users.
- Develop context diagrams, use cases, use case models, process maps, stakeholder maps and assessments, and systems diagrams.
- Oversee ongoing production support and configuration management.
- Lead and participate in requests-for-proposals processes, with a focus on client requirements and evaluation of vendor responses for I&IT business and/or infrastructure solutions.
- Manage problem identification and resolution activities to ensure timely resolution of production problems.
- Conduct sprint planning and facilitate daily standups in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Support end-user adoption through clear communication and training on new systems or process changes.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, communicate risks effectively to stakeholders, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA specialists, and business stakeholders, to achieve project goals.
